How Tairāwhiti schools are tracking

Thirty-eight principals completed the snapshot audit at the hui. The results are in.

Tairāwhiti schools sit at an overall readiness level of 2.4 — Emerging. Teaching and learning is the strongest area, with some schools already at Developing (3.2). Equity, cultural responsiveness, and transparency are the areas furthest behind. Two domains — Governance and Privacy — are flagged as non-compliance states under the Privacy Act 2020. In a region where the majority of learners are Māori, a Domain 7 score of 1.8 is the result that matters most.
